Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 350 F for 5 minutes.
Mix the chicken rub seasoning together in a small bowl and set aside.
Clean the chicken and remove the giblets from the cavity (if included). Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Brush the breast side of the chicken with olive oil and lightly sprinkle with half of the chicken rub.
Once the air fryer is heated, place the chicken breast side down in the air fryer basket. Then Oil the back side of the chicken and season with the remainder of the chicken rub.
For 3 lb chickens: Cook for 30 minutes. Flip the chicken so it is breast side up and cook an additional 15 minutes. For 4 lb chickens: Cook for 45 minutes. Flip the chicken so it is breast side up and cook an additional 15 minutes.A meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast should read 165 F and juices should run clear.
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
