Instructions
Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
Season steak with salt and pepper to taste. Add steak to pre-heated pan. Be sure not to over-crowd the pan. This will cause the steak to steam instead of brown. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove steak from pan and set aside.
Add remaining butter to pan and melt over medium heat. Add all remaining spices and cook for 1 minute to bloom the spices. Return the steak into the butter sauce and turn to coat. Remove from heat.
Garnish with freshly squeezed lemon and a sprinkling of fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
Storing:
Allow leftover steak bites to cool to room temperature.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Freezing:
Flash-freeze individual steak bites on a baking sheet.
Transfer frozen bites to a freezer bag, removing excess air.
Label and date the bag for up to 2-3 months of freezer storage.
Reheating:
For refrigerator-stored bites, microwave in 30-second intervals until warm.
For frozen bites, thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
Heat in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven until warmed through.
To maintain tenderness, add a splash of broth or extra garlic butter while reheating.
Tips:
Avoid overcooking during reheating to prevent the steak from becoming tough.
Refresh flavors with a squeeze of fresh lemon or a sprinkle of fresh herbs after reheating.
