This creamy peanut sauce is better than takeout. An easy peanut sauce recipe perfect for noodles, chicken, and dipping. If you plan to use it heavily as a sauce for noodles or meal prep bowls, you may want to double the batch.

Ingredients

creamy peanut butter

tablespoons
soy sauce

tablespoon
hoisin sauce
1
tablespoon
fresh lime juice

tablespoon
honey

warm water
(more as needed)
Sriracha Sauce
(optional)
Instructions
Whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, lime juice, honey, and ginger. Adjust consistency with warm water.
For Spicy Peanut Sauce - Add sriracha sauce, to taste.
Notes
Consistency Is Key
Add warm water 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired thickness.
Sauce thickens as it sits. Stir before serving and loosen with warm water if needed.
For thicker sauce,
whisk
in additional peanut butter.
Flavor Balance Tips
Too salty: Add more peanut butter or a splash of warm water.
Too sweet: Add extra lime juice.
Too bland: Add more soy sauce for salt or lime juice for brightness.
Want heat: Stir in red pepper flakes or sriracha gradually.
